Meet Our Advisory Board
The Saint Mary School Board consists of men and women who volunteer their time to the school, in an advisory role. These individuals have expertise in varying fields, participate in the school and parish communities in many ways, and bring diverse perspectives and vantage points to the Board.
Board Minutes:

Marianne Sutcliffe, Chair
Marianne joined the School Board in 2022 and became Chair in 2026. She and her husband Mike are parents of Isabella (SMS Class of 2028) and Brianna (The Cove School Class of 2030). Marianne has a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from DePaul University and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Strategy from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. Marianne brings to the Board a 20+ year career in Marketing, Strategy, Finance, and Business Management and multiple years of non-profit board experience from The Cute Syndrome Foundation where she is the Secretary, and the Chicago Chapter of the International Women's Forum.

Melanie Dolak
Melanie Dolak joined the Board in 2023 and has been a member of St. Mary parish since her family moved to Buffalo Grove in 2016. She and her husband, Bill, have two daughters in high school who serve as peer ministers for the EDGE/Confirmation prep religious education program. Melanie has previously taught CCD classes for St. Mary’s, and she volunteers for parish activities as a member of the Women’s Club.
Melanie has BA degrees in Biology and Chemistry and a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Indiana University. She brings to the Board many years of experience working as a non-profit executive including governance, policy, budgeting and negotiation skills.

Lisa Schwabe
Lisa joined the School Board in 2024. She and her husband, David, are the proud parents of Ally (Class of 2015), Colton and Sarah (Class of 2019), and Kenzie (Class of 2021). Their journey with Saint Mary School began when Ally started preschool. Lisa holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and an MBA with a concentration in Operational Management from DePaul University. She is currently pursuing a Certificate in Business Data Analytics at Loyola University. As the Director of Marketing and Development at Frassati Catholic Academy, Lisa focuses on marketing, enrollment, and fundraising for the Catholic elementary school.

Sara Blangiardo
Sara joined the school board in 2026. She and her husband, John, are the parents of Nathan (Class of 2026) and Johnny (Class of 2029). They have been members of St. Mary Parish since 2016. Sara holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction. She has over 20 years of experience in the public school system as a general education teacher. Sara is excited to bring her background in education, curriculum, and student learning to the School Advisory Board in support of the school community.

Joe Guido
Joe joined the School Board in 2026. He and his wife Arwa are the parents of Alya (incoming PreK-3 at SMS) and Layla (future Bison). Joe has a BBA in Economics and Finance and BA in History from Loyola University Chicago, as well as a BS in Chemical Engineering from UIC. Joe brings experience in strategic planning, project and portfolio management, and capital management to the Board from his career in engineering and enterprise operations.

Ana Maria Grady, Secretary
Ana Maria joined the School Board in 2023 and has been a part of Saint Mary School since her daughter Emilia (Class of 2031) started Pre-School in 2020. Ana Maria received her M.D. degree from Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia, South America where she grew up and where she travels frequently to visit family. She has dedicated her career to Healthcare Management and has worked extensively in leadership positions within several medical associations and hospitals in Chicago, Washington D.C. and Alexandria, VA. She has over 20 years of experience in managing multispecialty teams, operations and practice management solutions.

Jennifer Ree
Jennifer joined the School Board in 2021. Her family has been a member of Saint Mary Parish since 1983 and she has continued her parish membership into adulthood. Jennifer previously taught CCD at Saint Mary's and is a mother to Olivia (Class of 2029). She volunteers with the FSO and runs her father's point-of-sale company in Rolling Meadows. Jennifer volunteers her photography services to many annual events including golf outings for The Chicago Blackhawks Alumni Association, The Lazarus House, and Chip in for Vets. She brings experience in HR, sales, accounting, and marketing, as well as many years of event/catering planning to the Board.

Neha Soni
Neha joined the School Board in 2025. She and her husband Pinal are parents of Tulsi and Vivaan. Neha has grown up in Buffalo Grove, and moved back in 2020. Vivaan soon joined Saint Mary School for Kindergarten! Neha has a B.S. in Nuclear Medicine and a Masters in Health Administration. Neha has years of healthcare operations/LEAN management experience and currently works as an operations manager.

Peter Wisniewski
Peter joined the School Board in 2025. He and his wife Yvette were married at Saint Mary Church shortly after joining the parish. They are the parents of Bianca (class of 2010), Brianna (class of 2017), Bella (class of 2019) and Brooklynn (class of 2028), and Yvette has been an active volunteer in many activities throughout those years. Their grandsons, Anthony and Alexander, joined the Saint Mary’s family through Baptism in 2021 and 2024. Peter is the founder and managing member of TEMco Contracting, a general contracting firm focusing on commercial property work in the tri-state area.

Melissa Muro
Melissa joined the School Board in 2026. She and her husband, Justin, have been part of Saint Mary School since their son, Jack (Class of 2031), started. Melissa has a diverse background, including a bachelor's degree in arts management from Columbia College Chicago and a Master’s in the Art of Teaching (M.A.T.) from National Louis University, and is a licensed Learning Behavior Specialist and Career Technology Educator, with over 15 years in the classroom; the majority spent teaching Special Education and Entrepreneurship. Prior to teaching, she lived in NYC, managing global merchandising and production for private-label fashion brands, launching new brands in the states, and fashion styling for photo and video shoots. Her previous NFP board experience ranges from the IL Learning Disabilities Association, the Columbia College Fashion Advisory Board, and New York's Sunrise Day Camp, a camp for children with cancer and their siblings. She currently spends her time as an educational consultant, a family advocate, a book club leader for kids, and a one-to-one instructor for K-12 students.
